About: Sad House Daddy presents <<NUKLI>> plus the Dan Spanner Trio with DJ fOxytocin 'til late. Free entry! DAN SPANNER TRIO Fusing jazz, psychedelia, psych-punk, and surreal poetry into a wild, genre-defying live show. With saxophone, bass, drums, and a pedalboard pushed to breaking point, they create a heady mix of deep grooves, fearless improvisation, distortion, and theatrical chaos. Their sets veer from hypnotic, psychedelic soundscapes to explosive bursts of punk-jazz intensity, fuelled by humour, spontaneity, and a taste for the unexpected. This isn't background music—it's an immersive, full-throttle experience. Dan Spanner, a veteran saxophonist and multi-instrumentalist who has been a distinctive presence on the British festival and underground music scene since the 1980s. Over the decades, he has performed with Webcore, The Thunderdogs, Circus Archaos, Spannerman, The Ullulators and numerous other bands and projects, developing a style that draws on jazz, punk, psychedelia, rock, experimental music and performance art.

Core members, Kev Hegan (guitar & vocals) and Mark Huxley (bass) have played together since the '80s and that history shows itself in the intuitive and complementary way their instruments support each other, with plenty of melodic interplay between them. Alongside Mark, drummer Paul Maguire also formed the rhythm section of the high energy Dogstooth band, running a parallel existence to <<NUKLI>> for many years. Live, the trio's psych-rock-jazz-prog sound is accompanied by multi-coloured visuals from Mark's many liquid projectors!
